Industry Leaders to Guide Development of Prescription History Service for HIEs
ALEXANDRIA, Va. and ST. PAUL, Minn. – Feb. 16, 2010 – Surescripts, The Nation’s E-Prescription Network, today announced it has formed a committee to help guide the company’s development of a prescription history service for health information exchanges. The HIE Advisory Committee will help Surescripts to engage, listen and work out the operational details of a prescription history service for HIEs and other appropriate community entities. Surescripts intends to facilitate a connection to multiple data sources in a way that supports both meaningful use and shared objectives for patient safety, privacy and security.

An Indiana-based electronic medical records company has entered into a strategic alliance with Indiana University. NoMoreClipboard.com in Fort Wayne will collaborate with IU to develop additional personal health modules and market healthcare information technology solutions to other colleges and universities. The company personal health records will also be offered to students. Forty percent of IU's current freshman class have already created a health record using NoMoreClipboard.com.

KLAS questions vendor claims on HIEs
OREM, UT – Vendors may suggest that many successful health information exchanges have been built with their technology, but the reality is different, according to a new report from KLAS.
A small number of vendors – with Axolotl among the top – have risen to the challenge enough times to claim a proven, repeatable model, the Orem, Utah-based research firm found.
