Axolotl Corp.’s Elysium 9 Receives Full CCHIT Certification

San Jose, CA January 8, 2010 – Axolotl Corp., the nationwide leader in health information exchange (HIE) solutions and services announced today that the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology’s (CCHIT®) has fully certified Axolotl’s Elysium 9 as a CCHIT Certified® 2008 Ambulatory Electronic Health Record (EHR).

Ambulatory EHRs are designed for physician offices and clinics where most Americans get their health care. CCHIT, is an independent, 501(c)3 nonprofit organization recognized as a certification body in the United States for certifying health information technology products.

Elysium 9 is an interoperable EMR solution used by many of the most successful Health Information Exchanges in the United States, today. These Elysium HIEs enable physicians and other members of the patient’s health care team to be clinically networked within their practice, and with the community, region and in some cases their entire state for secure, electronic communication and collaboration on patient care.

CCHIT Certified® certification designates that Elysium 9 has been tested against a comprehensive set of interoperability, privacy and security, and functionality criteria and has passed inspection of 100 percent of the test steps in the 2008 Ambulatory EHR certification program. Additionally, as a CCHIT Certified® 2008 product, Elysium 9 has progressed from “Conditionally Certified” to “Fully Certified”, and has been verified as implemented in at least one provider site.

• Protect the privacy of personal health information.
