The Tri-State Regional Extension Center will help practices qualify for incentive payments for meaningful use. Each eligible health care professional may qualify for up to $44,000 for Medicare or up to $63,750 for Medicaid incentives over the next few years for meeting meaningful use of health IT.
The Tri-State REC will:
- Help practices implement electronic health records (EHRs)
- Ensure that EHRs are set up to exchange information with other electronic systems
- Estimate the financial impact on practices of technology use
- Help practices improve practice workflow and patient care
The Tri-State REC will help practices to qualify for meaningful use by providing:
- Resources on EHR implementation and meaningful use
- Group purchased EHRs and technology solutions at discounted rates
- On-site consulting
- Intensive quality improvement, workflow assistance & health information exchange.
